Public Works is a multi-faceted department (water, sewer, streets) with 19 full-time employees. Public Works administration handles engineering, mapping, record keeping and all the state and federal regulations with which the City must comply.

Cleanup Program & Hazardous Waste

The City has a cleanup program for residents each year in the spring & fall. No hazardous wastes such as freon, pesticides, enamel paint or used motor oil will be allowed. No car parts such as fenders, doors, car batteries or frames will be permitted. Contact Public Works for cleanup dates at 475-1103. For information on household hazardous waste, contact the Health Department at 304-6415 ext. 2233.
