This system collects the sanitary waste from all homes and businesses in Evans. This system contains more than 20 miles of sanitary sewers and one sewage pumping station at the Evans Wastewater Treatment Plan. The Evans Wastewater Treatment Plant is an aerated lagoon treatment plant. This means that through aeration and natural biological activities, the sewage solids are broken down to inert particles that can be removed from the water.
