The Planning Division provides resources to assist customers in obtaining various approvals for development, as well as information on properties in the City, such as zoning, setbacks, etc.
Planning and Zoning Commission

The Planning Commission's regular meetings are held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m., unless cancelled.
If you are interested in being considered for appointment to the Planning Commission, please call 475-1170 or click here for an application. If there are no vacancies when you apply, you will be contacted when a vacancy occurs.
Commissioners must be registered to vote and reside in the City.

Urban Renewal Authority

In November 2009, the Evans City Council adopted a resolution creating an Urban Renewal Authority (URA) for a portion of the City. The URA, to be known as the Evans Redevelopment Agency, was the result of a petition by registered electors of the City and a conditions survey prepared by staff. The conditions survey and other information can be viewed below.

Comprehensive Plan

The City of Evans is pleased to present the 2010 Evans Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted by City Council on February 16, 2010. This updates the previous Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 2002. The Comprehensive Plan is a policy-guiding document adopted by City Council after Planning Commission's recommendation. The Planning Commission and City Council held public hearings prior to its adoption. To view the the 2010 Comprehensive Plan, please click the links below.
